Project Overview
Ó! Galeria is an art gallery located in the heart of Oporto. It's a project focused on illustration, drawing, books, and recently, ceramics. The gallery works with a few collaborators, mostly young and promising Portuguese illustrators. Ó! Galeria targets people who are interested in seeing and buying art. Art lovers, whether tourists or city dwellers.
The Problem
After research, it was found that the Ó! Galeria website is not very attractive and does not offer an appealing value for consumers. It also does not correspond to the precepts of the gallery.
Solution
Design an appealing and attractive website that is user-friendly and offers clear navigation and a fast checkout process. All these resources must be aligned with the values and visual image of the gallery.
User Research
The first research was about the Portuguese artistic field. Then, a diverse group of people who frequent art galleries participated in a user survey. We identified two groups. Traveling adults, who would like to meet and have more access to information about local artists are part of the first group identified. The second group is local residents, who are art lovers and would also like access to what's new in the gallery.
